What is Legacy’s Second Chance Independent Living?
Legacy’s Second Chance Independent Living is about providing a safe, stable place for adults who are ready for a fresh start. We proudly serve seniors, veterans, individuals experiencing mental-health challenges, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals in recovery from substance use. Our goal is to offer a caring, structured, and affordable living environment where each resident is treated with dignity, supported through life’s challenges, and encouraged to move toward independence.
While we are not a medical or treatment facility, we work closely with community partners to help residents connect with counseling, recovery support, and other resources they may need. Through housing, guidance, and encouragement, Legacy’s Second Chance Independent Living helps residents rebuild stability, restore confidence, and create a stronger future.
What types of rooms do you offer?
At Legacy’s Second Chance Independent Living, residents are placed in a housing style that best fits their comfort and budget. We offer private rooms for those who prefer personal space and quiet, and shared rooms for those who want a more affordable, community-style living option. Both provide a safe, supportive environment designed to promote stability, comfort, and independence.
Is there a required program fee?
Yes we use a scaled, income-based fee system so costs remain fair and affordable. Fees are determined by each resident’s verified income and room choice shared or private. This helps ensure everyone contributes responsibly while still being able to maintain stability.
Is there a waiting list?
Yes, there may be a waiting list depending on availability.
If rooms are full, we add applicants to the waiting list and contact them as soon as space becomes available.
Who can submit a referral?
Referrals may come from agencies, shelters, treatment programs, case managers, churches, and community partners or individuals may apply themselves.
